After 25 years of DDR deep-sea fishing, the motor ship Stubnitz was converted into a mobile cultural platform. Since then, the Stubnitz has visited 22 northern European port cities and has been based in Hamburg's Hafencity for 6 years now.

With a wide range of cultural events, the ship has become a permanent institution in Hamburg’s social calendar. But the Stubnitz is much more than a cultural ambassador, because she also writes shipping history: She is a unique, technical monument of museum value - and the only one of its kind that is still in running condition.
